A little recent background…

I moved to the Springs 2 years ago, 2 months before we went into quarantine. Ugh! At that time my mom (who lives downstairs in our house) became ill and we spent even more time in our own quarantine so as not to risk her getting sick. I wish I could say I took that time to work on my business but I didn’t.

We moved here from San Diego where this all germinated. I have been planning and creating in classes and in my sewing room for 6+ years. I am very educated about my craft but feeling so nervous about launching the business.

I am not employed as I have had to take care of my mom almost full-time for the past year. Leaving her alone for several days is not currently an option. My dream of getting this business off the ground now has the best of circumstances to come to fruition.

What’s happening now…

I decided a month ago to apply to an Arts and Crafts show on April 30th in Parker. It should have an attendance of about 1000 people. I plan to use this as a testing ground for what people might be interested in and hopefully purchase. It has also lit a fire in me and I have been quite busy sewing, designing and sewing.

I plan to have my website up at least for initial orders just after the show. I don’t see how I am going to get it done before. I am attaching the notes for that as well and I already have a shopify shop that I started last summer.

My plan at the show is to only sell my t-shirts and accessory bags. A reasonable price point for each and to try to not only garner interest but to also recoup some of the recent start-up cash.
